ohh… that small spitfire is quite a car… I want to have one…. but they are as rare as diamonds here in mexico. Darn it
Oh I just watched the rest of the video. He sends of to get modded parts (valve seats) so it can run on unleaded.
I never seated the valves on a spitfire but usually you keep the same valves and seat them with a stick with suction cups on the end and some grinding paste. If you have new valves you still have to seat them. I dont know why he doesnt do this himself. Its very simple.
maybe he has but he can’t…
Edd’s mate Paul never has anything to say
lol mike’s acting sux. he know kars though
Yeah, and it would have been cheaper too. I don’t know why he did that.
This is probably one of the best shows I have seen on TV here. There is certainly a lot to be learned from it and Edd is a genius when it comes to older cars.
I have watched a lot of these episodes more than once on sky and if they come on again next week, I will do so again lol.
They’re just that excellent!!!
Could he just replace the valves instead of sending them to a specialist?
lol i agree
and a gym
mike does need a smack sometimes lol
Mike and Ed are legends- awesome show-lovin the spitfire!
fantastic show, I know small about cars and find the show fascinating for the layman. A like of the classics help as the mechanics is simpler to comprehend.
Ya but from that compression test he know there was a problem, so he went ahead and took the head off. Also, a compression test is quicker and simpler then a leak down
i luv Wheeler Dealers! Really enjoyable show…. looking forward tot he Porshe 944 full video set!!
A “leak down test” would have told you about the terrible valves without removing the head. It also would have told you if you had issues with the piston rings.
